Happy Friday

Hi Everyone! I'm sorry for the delay in posting but it's been an insanely crazy (and really fun) week here. I can't tell you how many quilt shop owners and customers we've spoken to this week about the Party and it's really inspiring to me that so many people feel this is what they need either in their shops or as a new social and learning adventure for themselves, personally. I'm really grateful for the trust and support from all of the shops and quilters that have signed up! The fun has already started and it's gonna be a wonderful year ahead.

I got some more photos from the various St. Pat's Day parties but since it's past we'll wait to see who throws some of the best April parties and get their stories posted. I also promised to get some pics of my grandgirls up from our St. Patrick's Day festivities for those of you who 'know" them and want to see some more recent pics. But, since this bizarre Blogger interface isn't allowing me to insert pics where I'd like them to be anymore, I've posted them here.

Speaking of the girls, I have to end here to go pick them up to spend the night with me tonight...yay! Come to think of it, I forgot to get the house Lily-proofed too. Gotta run!

Have a great weekend and thanks for looking in on me ;-)

Website updates

We've made some changes to my website and I wanted to let you all know that, if you have the old menu page bookmarked you should go to the new site and add it to your favorites. The old url for the menu page won't have the information you need anymore.

More and more shops are joining the Party with Patrick™ club and we're hearing fun stories about the various events at member shops. Remember to send photos so I can post them here. If you're a quilter and want to join the party, be sure to let your local quilt shop owners know!

Yesterday was St. Patrick's Day and my birthday and I'll have a few photos to share with you from that. My daughter, granddaughters, and I went for a traditional Irish corned beef and cabbage lunch and it was a lot of fun. I hope you all had a fun day too. More to come soon.

Thanks for looking in on me ;-)

Another round!

More Party with Patrick™ festivities and preview events are happening and I just got some photos from Linda and Rick at Little Stitches in Missouri City, TX of their day-long event this past Saturday. They didn't even wait for St. Patty's Day to roll around before pulling out all the stops with everything GREEN! I have to share the note they sent me on the morning after. I didn't get a sense that there were any hangovers from green beer involved so they must have behaved:

Good Morning Patrick,

A quick note to let you know our first Party with Patrick was a big success! The classroom was decorated with St. Patricks Day items. Each student was given a box with their supplies and a schedule. Supplies included material, thread, batting, recipes, templates, instructions and even a strand of green beads. All three recipes were served to the students as either snacks or salad with lunch. (We served corned beef, boiled potatoes and carrots, coleslaw, Emerald Isle Salad, and Irish Soda Bread) The day concluded shortly before five. Everyone had a great time! We are now full for next month's party and have registrations through June. For us, making it a full day all inclusive event seems to be the ticket. Linda will be forwarding you pictures of our first party.

Have a great week and Happy Birthday!

Rick & Linda

So, if this isn't enough to convince you that you need to be a part of our Party, I don't know what will. How about a peek at the first official EXCLUSIVE project for April's party, maybe? Take a look at this and see if you still want to be a wallflower.

Yep, this project is, literally, wall (or door) flowers. And, that's a custom-designed banner hanger you can purchase to go with April's banner project called "May Flowers"! Member shops are already filling their guest lists because their customers want to make this fun and easy project.

Just the two parties featured here, so far, have pulled in enough customers to their shops that they can't accomodate any more. That tells me that quilters are ready for a party and that, if you're a shop owner, you should invite the partiers to your place. So, put away your breakables and pass out the party hats. This party's gonna last awhile!

To join, all you have to do is contact us. Hope all is well with you!
:-)

Countdown to party time!

The first Party with Patrick™ event took place last Saturday at Fiddlesticks in Boulder City, NV! Merry Summey, the shop's owner (2nd from the left, above) has been so excited about getting the party started in her shop and her excitement has paid off judging from these photos. It looks like she pulled a great group of ladies together for her shop's club and their first party was a St. Patrick's Day themed get-together to make the St. Pat's Mats free project I offered last month. This was just her preview to the actual parties that will start happening in April.
As I mentioned in my last entry, lots of shop owners have agreed that it's time for a party and are being very creative with their preparations. That's the way to do it! Everybody loves a party and, if you throw a good one, your customers will be anxious to get on the "A" List!

I'm really excited to show you the first month's project but the member shops get to see it first so, unless you join now, you'll have to wait.

Don't be a party pooper! RSVP now and get on the party list. Happy days are here again! :-)
